Reviews
Cons: Cash only!
Pros: Fuss-free fish & chips, good price, nice waitress.
Saw some reviews saying the fish was bland - in contrary I enjoyed that as you can adjust the taste with the condiments yourself! Great for people like me who find most food out there too salty.
First time having fish and chips in London. It was good, but it wasn’t great. Tasted bland to me, but the batter was nice and light and crisp. Service was great, and it was very busy.
Tasty fish and chips for a reasonable price and in a great location. Perfect after a visit to the british museum. The location was clean and staff were good. Only problem is that its cash only.
The fish is nice and crispy.
The chips are nice and crispy.
Fish and chips is £10.45 for dinning in.
The fish cake is also quite nice.
The decoration is in vintage style.
*Not Accept Credit Card*
*At least spending £10 for dinning in*
*the chef keeps whistling which can be a little bit annoying*
Food was served quickly.Staff is ok. “Fish taste bland, ordered a haddock.”Chips were big and quite crisp.Serving is big, price is reasonable. “Big problem: Don’t eat there if you don’t have any cash!” ATM next door at the grocery charges HORRENDUOSLY especially if you are a tourist!
Simple place, as a tourist I wanted to have fish and chips on my visit. The food was okay to good. The place does not accept credit cards, which was a huge bummer!
A typical fish and chips outlet, offering fried cod, haddock, etc although the cod tastes more like hake. Colour of fish meat is not as white. The chips can be good. Great and thickly sliced potatoes are fried in typical English style. Best eaten with salt and vinegar.
Not as good as others describe, I came here because of the story but it looks as if it's been bought out and sells cheap food. Fish was old - not fresh! I'm so disappointed as I wanted to really like this place.
